Guilds, organizations, and individuals are invited to share their talents and skills with thousands of visitors at the Shepherd’s Harvest Festival, May 12-14, 2017 at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Lake Elmo, MN.

Most demonstrations take place in Building A, the Festival’s Demonstrations, Education and Outreach Building, which also houses the “spin-in” circle, family and children’s activities, and the skein, felting and fleece competitions.

Shepherds Harvest presents a broad cross section of the world of fiber in the festival’s demonstrations, and we welcome presentations in many disciplines. Past activities have included skirting & fleece evaluation, fiber preparation, wool washing, spinning, knitting, crochet, weaving, felting, historic and contemporary demonstrations, educational presentations about antique spinning wheels, knotless netting, tatting, Somali weaving, flax dressing, knitter’s troubleshooting and more – all are welcome!

We are scheduling multiple demonstrations throughout both Saturday and Sunday, with demonstrations beginning at the top of each hour at 10am, 11am, noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. Demonstrators are asked to present for a period of at least thirty minutes. Demonstrations may be presented just once during the festival, or multiple times throughout the two days. Individual demonstrators are welcome to participate in one or more demonstration sessions in the demonstrator’s area in Building A.

As a thank you for providing a demonstration at Shepherd Harvest, complimentary booths are available in Building A for those that would also like to exhibit their organization or products.   If you choose to sell products from your booth, we have a reduced vendor fee of $75
