Festival
Highlights
-
Over 90 vendors from SD, ND, WI, IA and Minnesota participate
in the festival.
-
Vendors offer a full range of products including; fleeces,
fiber, yarns, cheeses, soaps, spinning wheels, patterns
and kits, wool mattresses, rugs, blankets, baskets, and
embellishments. Sheep equipment and fencing is also available
for sale.

Technique classes include spinning, knitting, needle-felting,
wet-felting, rug hooking, dyeing, weaving and lace making.

For shepherds and those considering the venture, there
is the Spring Sheep Workshop facilitated by the Minnesota
Lamb and Wool Producers Association.

Contests and competitions include a photography contest,
fleece competition, skein competition and felting competition.

Demonstrations include the Natural Fibers Fashion Show,
linen-making, a sheep shearing, working stock dogs and
the fleece show.

Animals for viewing include goats, sheep, llama and alpaca
with always a few surprises.

Free hands-on learning includes a spin-in, a knitting
clinic and the opportunity to talk with shepherds about
their particular breed and sheep.

Llama Magic runs on the fairgrounds on the same weekend
and is a perfect compliment to Shepherd’s Harvest
providing a fantastic offering with the focus on llamas
